JASN ICHIBAN SCHOLARSHIP /　JASN　「一番」スカラーシップ

Ichiban　（一番）, which means "number one," is a scholarship founded to help Japanese Heritage Students and Japanese International Students attending the College of Southern Nevada or University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Its aims are to provide students opportunities to build bridges between the United States and Japan, to promote friendship between the countries, and to make Southern Nevada a better place to live . The scholarship fund consists of monies collected from corporate and individual membership fees and funds raised from our annual friendship golf tournament and other community-oriented fundraising events.

To JASN Officers and Board of Directors,

I feel so fortunate to have been chosen as a recipient of the JASN Ichiban Scholarship. Thank you so much for your generosity in funding this scholarship.

I am currently ending my last semester at University of Nevada Las Vegas with majoring in athletic training with a bachelor degree, and I hope to graduate in May 2013 with a master degree. Through the support of the JASN Ichiban Scholarship, I am well on my way to achieving my academic goals and hope that with my degree.

Thank you again. Please pass my gratitude on to all those who so generously support Japanese Heritage students and Japanese international students attending the College of Southern Nevada or University of Nevada Las Vegas.
